Login to Overdrive at mvlc.lib.overdrive.com using your 14-digit Tewksbury Public Library barcode:
Click the Advanced Search link:
Limit to Kindle Book in the Format field. If you like, you can use the Only Show Available Titles checkbox to limit your search result to only titles that are available for immediate checkout:
If a title is not available, click Place a Hold and enter an email address. You will be notified via email when the title is available to be checked out, and you will have 3 days to check out the title:
If the title is available, click Add to Bookbag:
If you are ready to check out the title, click Proceed to Checkout. If you would like to continue to search for Kindle eBooks, your title will remain in your bookbag for 30 minutes:
Choose a lending period of 7, 14, or 21 days then click Confirm Checkout:
Click Get for Kindle. This will take you to Amazon:
Click Get Library Book then login to your Amazon account. (If you do not have an Amazon account, you will need to create one):
After you login to your Amazon account, choose your Kindle device and click continue:
Your title will be delivered to your Kindle immediately! If you’re not connected to the Internet wirelessly, your title will be delivered to your Kindle when you are connected:
Your title will appear on your Kindle’s home screen with a “new” status:
How to Return a Kindle eBook Early
If you’d like to return your Kindle eBook early, login to your Amazon account and go to Manage Your Kindle:
Choose Actions then Return This Book:
How to Remove an eBook from Your Kindle
When your eBook has expired, remove it from your Kindle by clicking the left-arrow on the 5-way controller and selecting remove from device. Be sure the cursor is on the eBook you wish to remove:
