Connect your Nook to your computer using its USB cord.
Go to http://mvlc.lib.overdrive.com. There is also a link to this site on our homepage. If this is your first time downloading eBooks to your Nook click on Help:
On the Help page, click on OverDrive Help then Get Started with NOOK. To checkout eBooks to your Nook, you will need to download and install Adobe Digital Editions:
Scroll half-way down the Adobe Digital Editions page and click Install:
When the installation window pops up, click Next:
After it’s been installed, Adobe Digital Editions will open. There is a one-time step you will need to complete, in order to activate the software:
Fill in your Adobe ID and password and click Activate to authorize your computer. This ID must be the same as the one you used to register your Nook. If you don’t have an Adobe ID, you can easily get one online by clicking Get an Adobe ID Online:
After you have activated Adobe Digital Editions, the Device Setup Assistant will display. Your Nook must be connected to your computer. Click Authorize Device:
Login using your 14-digit Tewksbury Public Library barcode:
Click the Advanced Search link:
Limit to Adobe EPUB eBook in the Format field. If you like, you can use the Only Show Available Titles checkbox to limit your search result to titles that are available for immediate checkout:
If a title is not available, click Place a Hold and enter an email address. You will be notified via email when the title is available to be checked out, and you will have 3 days to check out the title:
If the title is available, click Add to Bookbag:
NOTE: Tewksbury Public Library purchases extra eBooks which are available to Tewksbury Public Library cardholders only. This program is called Overdrive Advantage, and you’ll have access to these extra titles after you sign-in to Overdrive. These titles are noted with a: 
If you are ready to check out the title, click Proceed to Checkout. If you would like to continue to search for EPUB eBooks, your title will remain in your bookbag for 30 minutes:
If available, choose a lending period of 7, 14, or 21 days and click Confirm Checkout:
Click Download to download the eBook to Adobe Digital Editions:
When the file download window pops up, click Open. Once the eBook to transferred, Adobe Digital Editions will open:
In Adobe Digital Editions, click the Library View button:
Your Nook must be connected to your computer, in order to transfer the eBook to your Nook. Simply drag and drop the eBook to your Nook:
How to Return an EPUB eBook Early
Your eBook will return itself, once the lending period has expired. If you’d like to return the eBook early, follow these directions.
Connect your Nook to your computer using its USB cord. Open Adobe Digital Editions and click on your Nook:
Hover over the eBook you would like to return early, click the menu arrow, then choose Return Borrowed Item. When you unplug your Nook from your computer, you will see the eBook has been removed from the device:
